BETHESDA, MD (October 16, 2014) - Association TRENDS has named Andy Steggles, President & Chief Customer Officer of Higher Logic the TRENDS 2015 Partner of the Year. He will be honored at the TRENDS 2015 Salute to Association Excellence, February 6 at the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C.

“Andy was an easy choice and an excellent one,” TRENDS publisher Joel Poznansky said. “His background as a former association executive really helps him to understand the concerns of those who seek his advice and Higher Logic’s services. His ‘I understand because I’m one of you’ approach is believable because it’s true.”

As Higher Logic’s chief customer officer, Steggles spends a lot of time educating association executives on cloud technology, which Higher Logic uses, and the strategy to apply it effectively. At conferences and meetings, he is often presenting or taking part on panel discussions. You can also find him in the company’s exhibit booth, wearing the orange company t-shirt along with other team members. Steggles also wrote the widely popular book “Social Networking for Nonprofits,” considered a must-read for nontechies and techies alike.

Prior to joining Higher Logic, Andy spent ten years serving as the Chief Information Officer at the Risk & Insurance Management Society, Inc. (RIMS) where he headed their technology and social strategy initiatives.

From 1986–1996, Andy served in the Royal Navy, which allowed him to travel internationally around most of the world including the Arctic and Antarctic. He returned from a three-year tour in Hong Kong to study Computer Science at Brunel University in London.

Steggles will be feted at the TRENDS 2015 Salute to Association Excellence, February 6 at the Capital Hilton in Washington, DC. Also to be honored at the Salute: the Leading Association Lobbyists, the TRENDS Young & Aspiring Association Professionals, winners of the All Media Contest, and the TRENDS Association Executive of the Year, who will be announced in the November.
