Bethesda, MD – Guy Sheetz, of Futures Industry Association, will be honored as the 2017 Nonprofit CFO of the Year at the Nonprofit CFO of the Year Awards on October 24, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington DC. The event will also honor the 2017 Association CFO of the Year, Allison Ingram, Society of American Military Engineers, the 2017 Philanthropic CFO of the Year, Jim Thomasell, National PTA and the 2017 Rising Star of the Year, Mark Hornby, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.

This annual event recognizes and honors the often unsung contributions of nonprofit financial executives who demonstrate a vision for operational excellence, innovation in finance and management, exceptional leadership, and commitment to improving accountability and financial reporting. 

This year’s award ceremony will feature keynote speaker Rob Scheer, founder of Comfort Cases; an all-volunteer charitable organization that provides overnight bags, pajamas, hygiene items, activities, and comfort items to children and teens transitioning into foster care.
