Bethesda, Md. – Don Miller, CFO, Meals On Wheels Association of America, has been named the 2015 Nonprofit CFO Rising Star of the Year. He will be honored at the 2015 Nonprofit CFO of the Year Awards Luncheon, March 13th at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC.
“I hired Don Miller in March 2013 to be my right hand at the Meals On Wheels Association of America—an organization I had joined just one month prior. Having worked alongside Don previously, I knew he was an astute leader, with a ‘can do,’ charismatic attitude and an unwavering commitment to financial and operational integrity. Don was the obvious partner for me in my quest to transform our Association” said Ellie Hollander, President and CEO, Meals On Wheels Association of America.
Don joined the Meals On Wheels Association of America in March 2013 as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. He handles the day-to-day management of the organization, spanning finance, accounting, IT, HR, operations, program logistics and facilities management. Prior to joining the Association, Don held the position of Chief Financial Officer and was later promoted to Chief Operating Officer at Good360, a nonprofit that distributes corporate product donations to other nonprofits. He also served in various roles at The Home Depot corporate headquarters in Atlanta, GA including financial planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, store operations finance, and store management. He received a B.S. in Marketing from Boston College and a Finance MBA from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
The 2015 Nonprofit CFO Rising Star of the Year will be honored at the Nonprofit CFO of the Year Awards Luncheon, March 13 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC.
