Arlington, VA (09/27/19) – Association TRENDS, a division of CBIS, is pleased to announce the launch of Bumblebee, a data transformation tool designed to help associations tackle two of their biggest data challenges: duplication and data quality.

Bumblebee automates data transformation and cleansing activities while using data science to provide fast and accurate duplicate identification and record matching between data silos. Using Bumblebee, association data is assessed and transformed across four key areas: record duplication ID & matching, format standardization, data validation, and field completeness.

Ideal use cases for associations include those who are:

  • changing their association management system (AMS)
  • integrating data analytics
  • implementing a data governance strategy
  • acquiring a new data set of unknown quality

“About a year ago we looked around and realized there were virtually no resources to help associations de-duplicate, cleanse and maintain their data at scale. Data is a huge asset to these organizations and there is so much that can be done with it - provided the data is clean. CBIS, our parent company, has a deep history in data research and management and it made sense for us to step in and build a data tool specifically for associations.” said Brittany Carter, President of Association TRENDS and parent company CBIS.

In addition to Bumblebee, AT will offer data services to associations including:

  • Smart-appending empty fields
  • Data merging & mapping
  • NCOA/DSF postal validation
  • Email validation
  • Custom prospect research
  • Ongoing cleansing services (annual subscription)
  • Data mining on unstructured data
  • Data science consulting for modeling projects
